Good morning.

Liz and I had an awesome time last night at church. I am so proud of her. She walked down the aisle, and made her profession of faith.

This Sunday, we are going to Bible School, the morning and evening worship services, and that evening she'll be baptized.

I can't wait to see what Jesus Christ will do through her. Amen!!!

After church we went to Vito's for coffee and cheese cake. Calories galore! It doesn't matter, because we are both fit. We ride bikes for a living.

All Eyez on Bonnie and Charley

It looks like the Gulf of Mexico is going to be a playground for Bonnie and Charley.

Jacksonville will feel the effects of Bonnie and Charley

I'm not concerned about Jacksonville, or myself for that matter. We are expected to have a lot of rain from Bonnie this afternoon, and then rain and winds gusting to 65 miles per hour tomorrow from Charley. I'm still going to rent the truck tomorrow morning, and move. Come hell, or high water. (Actually the high water might be come whether I like it or not.)

I am worried about my parents. They live in southwest Florida, and being elderly, an evacuation for them may be a bit much. So, I've been praying hard that they'll be spared any effects of Hurricane Charley, and that they'll be able to stay in their home.

I just called my Dad, and they are evacuating. My sister booked a hotel room, and they will be out of harm's way. I just hope his house won't be damaged. I'll be doing a lot of praying today.

Tornado Touches Down in Jacksonville

I notified the trucking company, and changed my reservation until mid-morning on Saturday.

I just spoke with my parents, and they are now leaving their home. My Dad is worried that he may not have a home to come back to, and I said that he would. It was a very emotional conversation. I wish I could be down there with him.

Damn, this has turned out to be one stressful vacation.

Well, at least I'll be in church this Sunday with Liz, and that may calm my troubled soul. Hopefully I'll be thanking God that my parents have a home, and that my move to my new apartment went smoothly, and that Liz's mobile home was not damaged.

Also, I mentioned to Liz this evening that she may want to stay somewhere else besides her mobile home in north Jacksonville.

The National Weather Service has advised people who live in mobile homes to evacuate by tomorrow.

I hope she may decide to stay here with me. I sure could use a pair of arms right now.

Tomorrow evening Jacksonville will have winds of 65 to 80 miles per hour, with higher gusts.

I'm just now beginning to take all of this in, and how very serious this situation is.

Hurricane Charley is now a Category 3 hurricane, which is deadly. Widespread damage, and a lot of it can be catastrophic.

I have six gallons of water, snacks, candles, a flashlight, batteries, a radio, and a battery-operated weather scanner. Chances are I'll be losing my electricity tomorrow evening.

I live in a very solid structure. Red brick over concrete block, so I don't think I'll have much damage here. I also have some large buildings around me too.

Anna just arrived! She is spending tonight and tomorrow evening with me, so we'll be riding out the Hurricane Charley together. I was so surprised! It looks like I have that pair of arms that I wanted.

I can't believe the Lord sent me Anna. I guess He really works in mysterious ways. It's been eight months since we were together. She is so cute!

Anna was in Hurricane Hugo when she lived in Charleston, South Carolina. Thank God we won't be going through a hurricane like that.

I'm still very worried about my parents home. They are elderly, and if it's badly damaged, it may be too much for them to handle.

God help us.
